一、英譯中（30 分) Tourism is widely acknowledged as a modern phenomenon, and theoretical discussion of the tourism probably started in the 1950s. Even though the beginning of tourism can be dated back to ancient Greece and the beginning of the modern era, it was not until well after colonialist times and the World War II in the 20th century that saw the beginning of mass tourism, which further sparked the theoretical development of tourism.
二、中譯英（30 分） 「旅行」是跨越疆界的行為。旅人跨越地理與文化的疆界，到異地他國旅行，順 理成章成為當地人的客人，而主人的 「待客之道」 （hospitality） 、旅人與主人之間的 互動，因此也成為決定整個旅行內容與意義的重要因素。 希臘文化見證了待客之道的重要性。在荷馬（Homer） 《奧德賽》 （The Odyssey） 中，主人接待旅人，提供旅人食物與棲身處所，協助旅人恢復精神與體力、遠離迫 近的危險與災難－這些「待客之道」使旅人得以成就其旅行。在希臘文中， 「待客之 道」 （hospitality）是與「返家歸國」 （homecoming）合併，意在使旅人感到賓至如歸， 滿意主人的招待，進而與主人建立良好的關係。
三、英文作文（40 分） Please write an English essay of 250~300 words based on the following instruction: Choose one specific spot in Taiwan as a “must visit” place that you would like to recommend to international tourists.
