 สืบเนื่องจากสถานการณการแพรระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อโคโรนาไวรัส-๑๙ ยังคงลุกลามไปทั่วโลกอยางตอเนื่อง เพื่อปองกันการแพรระบาดในประเทศและ สรางหลักประกันดานสุขภาพใหกับสาธารณชนในประเทศ นับตั้งแตเวลา ๐๐.๐๐ น. ของวันที่ ๑๕ มกราคม ค.ศ. ๒๐๒๑ เปนตนไป ผูโดยสารที่มีความประสงคจะ เดินทางเขาสูไตหวัน นอกจากจะตองแนบใบรับรองการตรวจเชื้อโควิด-๑๙ ที่มี ผมลบกอนออกเดินทาง ๓ วันแลว ยังตองแนบหนังสือรับรองการเขาพักใน สถานกักกันโรคที่ภาครัฐจัดเตรียมไวให หรือโรงแรมที่มีไวเพื่อรองรับการกัก ตัวโดยเฉพาะ สําหรับผูที่มีความประสงคจะกักตัวที่บาน ทางการไดกําหนดให บุคคลนั้นๆ ตองอยูในเคหสถานแหงนั้นเพียงลําพัง และตองลงนามในหนังสือ รับรองเพื่อเปนหลักฐานยืนยัน โดยมาตรการขางตนนี้ทางศูนยบัญชาการกลาง ปองกันโรคระบาดของไตหวันจะพิจารณาปรับแกตามสถานการณการแพร ระบาดทั่วโลก

對於居留效期即將到期者，實施自動延長居留期間 30 日之措施，不 限次數，實施期間至疫情警戒標準降為第二級之日起 30 日止，屆時民眾 再至服務站辦理延期居留即可；另對於外來人口的停留效期即將到期及 原經移民署許可延長離臺者，也可以暫時不用到各服務站辦理延期停留 及離臺手續，等到疫情警戒標準降至第二級的隔天起 10 天以內，符合延 期資格的外來人口只要準備相關文件再至服務站補辦延期停留即可。
