1. Q1: What preparation procedures shall be carried out before departure? (2%)

2. The main engine cylinder shall feed cylinder oil and the main engine shall be turned by engaging the turning gear for about 10 minutes then be disengaged. (2%)

5. Starting manifold drain valves shall be shut and the starting air outlet valve of the air reservoirs shall be opened. (2%)

8. Upon engine of SBE, all required parameter readings shall enter into the Bell Book and Engine Logbook. (2%)

9. Clean the seawater-cooling strainer and check the check valve function of the stand-by seawater-cooling pump. It may be jammed by mud sediment from the port during a long port stay. (3%)
