  1. 兩個子句的主詞相同的話，省略從屬子句的主詞或是對等子句的其中一個主詞。
  2. 將被省略主詞後方的動詞改成分詞，也就是表示主動的現在分詞 V-ing，和表示被動的過去分詞 (being＋) p.p.（如例2）。
  3. 連接詞（例如：because, when, and）可以省略，若是省略會造成語意混淆，則建議保留。
  4. 否定詞 not 放在分詞前方，並去掉助動詞 do, does, did。
