 1.對遇(Head-on Situation)

 兩船對遇時，應各朝右轉向，讓彼此的船互在對方左舷通過。
 2.交叉相遇(橫遇Crossing Situation)
 兩船在交叉相遇（橫遇）的其況下，看見另一條船在他右舷的船應避讓。也就是說，A船看到B船在他的右舷時，A船要讓B船先通行。 
3.追越(Overtaking Situation)
