雖然國考答案表示HyperT引起的高血壓應該使用β-blocker進行治療
但實際上在美國內科獸醫協會制定之高血壓治療指引上有提到:
"β-blocker對於部分心搏過速性高血壓病貓(e.g. 甲狀腺亢進引起的高血壓病患)可能有助於控制HR,
但β-blocker之抗高血壓效果幾乎可以忽略,因此不應單獨作為高血壓治療用藥。
在併發有HyperT及高血壓的貓貓, 鈣離子通道阻斷劑(Amlodipine)依舊是首選(搭配甲狀腺亢進治療藥物)"

Beta-blockers (eg, atenolol) may be useful to control heart rate in some tachycardic hypertensive cats (eg, those with hyperthyroidism), but have negligible antihypertensive effect in such patients and therefore should not be used as a sole agent for the management of hypertension. For cats diagnosed with concurrent systemic hypertension and hyperthyroidism, amlodipine besylate remains the first-line antihypertensive agent, combined with management of hyperthyroidism.
