lateral  compartment 有2條主要肌肉：

a.plantarflex  ankle ( 當膝蓋伸直時)

c.屈曲小腿

d.起始--終止

(側)femur lateral condyle ->calcaneal tendon (calcaneus) 

(中)femur popliteal surface (medial condyle 上方)   

2.比目魚肌soleus :platarflex ankle

a.起始--終止fibula and tibia ->calcaneal tendon (calcaneus)

3.蹠肌plantaris ：協助腓腸肌(gastrocnemius ) platarflex ankle 

a.起始--終止lateral  supraconylarline of femur  ->calcaneal tendon (calcaneus)

深層：(繞過足踝內後方)1.popliteus :flex knee+medially rotate tibia 

lateral condyle of femur ->posterior surface of fibular 

2.flexor hallucis longus :plantarflexor ankle+flex great toe 

a.下2/3 fibula 後側＋骨間膜--> distal phalanx of great toe  (base )

3.flexor digitorum longus :plantarflexor ankle +flex lateral 4 digits 

a. 後中側tibia -->distal phalanx of 4 digits   (base )

4.tibialis posterior:plantarflex ankle +invert foot 

a.骨間膜＋tibia +fibula-->navicular +cuboid +calcaneus +base of 234 metatarsals
