The time­-dependent pharmacokinetics have been described with a model where the production rates of the affected enzymes were reverse proportional or proportional to the amounts of the inhibiting or inducing agents and the time course of the inhibition or induction process was described by the turnover model. Examples of drugs with time­-dependent pharmacokinetics are omeprazole and carbamazepine.
