Wealthy countries often assume that children are rarely the victims of epidemics. But in Indonesia, about 1 in every 88 deaths in official statistics is a child. The true ratio cannot be discerned because of the limited testing and many of the deaths from COVID-19 in Indonesia cannot be counted.
