Economists often struggle between two contradictory views: on one hand, good economic policies should lead to favorable results, and therefore should also be proved to be good politics; on the other hand, the implementation of good economic policies is often regarded as the need for "strong" and "autonomous" (not authoritarian) leadership. Chile, this country may go further than any others in implementing free economic policies, and its experience is a good example.
