Narrowing the Gap Between Rich and Poor When it comes to the gap between rich and poor in Taiwan, what first comes to our mind is the cause of capitalism. When more entrepreneurs invest more equipment and hire more workers to work for them, the bigger gap between the rich and the poor will be. With the development of Taiwan\'s tourist\'s industry, what comes after as side effects are that most Taiwanese employees are working day and night. And as a whole, the working environment is deteriorating as day goes by. Therefore, I, here, would like to claim my opinion that the gap between the rich and poor in Taiwan is growing severely than ever because of the long working hours and low salary. Hence, in a bid to narrow down the gap between these two, the government should raise the level of basic salary as well as provide workers with a better environment. In this way, workers paid with low salary will be more motivated and productive at work, and the revenue that workers made for company can be shared with all workers, which can reach a balance between the rich and the poor. In conclusion, by raising up the level of basic salary, can the gap between the rich and the poor be narrowed down.
