Recurrent laryngeal neuropathy (Laryngeal hemiplegia)喉偏癱
發生 原因 | 1. Neuropathy of laryngeal nerve: A progressive demyelinization of the left recurrent laryngeal nerve (支配larynx多數內在肌肉的神經) 2. Genetics, age, sex Larger-breed > Arabians and pony 可能為遺傳 Age: 2~5 years 3. 多為自發性 4. Trauma, guttural pouch mycosis, strangles, abscess of the head or neck, Lead poisoning, Plant poisoning 5.. Jugular thrombophlebitis 長期留置針併發靜脈炎 6.Aortic arch pulsation 7.Thiamin(B1) deficiency |

laryngoplasty: A suture prosthesis between the cricoid cartilage環狀軟骨 and the muscular process of the arytenoid cartilage 杓狀軟骨 (也就是小動物的Unilateral Arytenoid Lateralization單側杓狀軟骨外展術)
效果:
- Enlarging the area
- Provide additional fibrosis for support of arytenoid cartilage
- Effective method for laryngeal hemiplegia 用來治療喉偏癱
