Concurrent use of ALLOPURINOL and WARFARIN may result in an increased risk of bleeding.

Clinical Management:

In patients receiving warfarin and allopurinol concurrently, the prothrombin time ratio or international normalized ratio (INR) should be monitored with the addition and withdrawal of allopurinol, and periodically during concurrent therapy. Warfarin dosage adjustments may be required to maintain the desired level of anticoagulation.
