一、日譯中：（20 分）文部科学省は、生態系への悪影響が懸念される海洋ごみの一種「マイクロプラスチック」の監視の強化に乗り出す。今年度から 2022 年度の 5 年間で、海水中のマイクロプラスチックの量や材質を、人口知能（AI）などで自動計測、分析する新たな装置を開発する。マイクロプラスチックは世界の海や魚介類の体内から見つかっているが、目視での観測で時間がかかり、汚染の詳細な実態は分かっていない。国は、新措置で海洋中の分布状況や生態系への影響などの把握を急ぐ。装置は海水に特殊な光を当てて反射した光の波長や、高解像度カメラで撮影した画像データなどから、マイクロプラスチックの材質や大きさ･形、個数を自動的に調べる仕組み。観測船に搭載可能で、航行中の船に海水を汲み上げ、洋上でデータを取得できる。
