Mais il sut faire le bilan de ses succès et de ses échecs, et poursuivit ses expériences avec opiniâtreté. Il travailla souvent 24 heures, même 36 heures de suite. Quand il mourut en 1931, il avait à son actif plus de 1000 découvertes, qui sont d’importantes contributions à l’humanité.
