Part B. 40 points. Answer two (2) of the following essay questions. Write an essay on each of the three essay questions of your choice. Each essay should be at least 20 sentences, but an essay that is longer than 20 sentences will not necessarily earn you a better score, as you are being assessed on the quality of your ideas as well as on your ability to express ideas in a clear and precise fashion. You will not receive extra credit for writing more than two essays. If you choose to write more than two essays, your grader will evaluate the first two essays written in your answer book.

(3). Discuss at least two (2) but no more than four (4) works by British authors that take place in settings outside the British Isles. Name and discuss these works. Why do you think the authors take an interest in stories or literary material in settings outside Britain? How do these works reflect the author's ideas about foreign places and cultures and Britain's historical and cultural relations to these places and communities? Explain with concrete and specific references to the texts.
